Angel comes to us from Durango, Colorado. She’s had a lifelong passion for history.

She says, “Sharing the history of such a delicate subject has become a passion of mine. I am dedicated to honoring the memory of the women who worked here on The Row and in the profession as a whole.”

Emma Markowski

Tour Guide

Emma comes to us from River Edge, New Jersey.

Growing up in a household where history was a major influence on her childhood has had a profound impact. A proud military wife with cosmetology background in historical beauty, she has a primary interest in the Turn of The Century to the 1940s. Emma feels that telling the stories of the women of the row is a privilege & duty. She loves being able to honor & remember women who have been overlooked by history.

Juliana Crims

Tour Guide

Juliana comes to us from Talihina, Oklahoma. She has always enjoyed learning and meeting new people.

She says, “I really enjoy making Miss Laura’s a memorable experience for visitors.”

Mission Statement

Miss Laura’s provides a comprehensive educational experience regarding the history of prostitution, women’s rights, and women’s experiences in Fort Smith and other similar communities. We pledge to remember and honor the legacy of the women who were both in and out of one of the world’s oldest professions whether by choice or circumstance.
